My name is Aljoscha Pörtner. I studied computer science at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences/Germany. I worked as a research assistant at the IoT-Lab/Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and the Institute for Intelligent Cooperating Systems of the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg. During this time, my research was focused on distributed robotics, multi-agent systems and the interaction of external sensors/actuators (e.g. within smart home environments), robots and humans.

Currently, I’m working as a Software and Platform Engineer in a logistics company. My field of interest covers DevOps/SRE, distributed systems, cyber security and cloud computing of all sorts. I believe in the agile manifesto and love to work in autonomous, self-organized and interdisciplinary teams.

In my free time, I am an enthusiastic reader, cineast and committed to the field of digital/internet politics and civil rights. I am a member of the Chaos Computer Club (CCC) and the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).
